The Sales Manager for Events and Exhibitions is responsible for driving sales growth, building client relationships, and managing key aspects of event and exhibition sales. This role involves selling exhibition Stands, corporate events, Conferences, Forums and other related services to companies and organizations across various industries. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the event industry, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets for events and exhibitions.
Analyze market trends and competitors to identify new sales opportunities.
Work closely with the creative and marketing teams to align sales efforts with event objectives.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, including exhibitors and partners.
Prospect and generate leads through cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
Manage the full sales cycle, from initial outreach to closing deals and post-event follow-ups.
Exhibition & Event Sales:
Sell exhibition booths, sponsorship packages, and other event services.
Negotiate contracts and terms with clients to ensure mutual benefits.
Work with clients to understand their specific requirements and offer tailored solutions.
Account Management:
Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction throughout the event planning process.
Address client concerns and provide solutions to ensure successful event participation.
Market Research & Reporting:
Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.
Monitor the competitive landscape and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
Collaborate with operations and event management teams to ensure smooth event execution.
Support the event team during the event, providing assistance as needed for client engagement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
5-10 years of experience in event sales, exhibition sales, or a related industry.
Strong knowledge of the events and exhibitions industry.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
