Job Description

The Sales Engineer for MV Switchgear and Capacitor Bank is pivotal in the Electric Power Production and Transmission industry. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and sales acumen to promote and sell medium-voltage electrical equipment effectively. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, providing technical support to customers, and ensuring that the products meet the client's specific needs. With a focus on customer satisfaction and relationship management, this role is essential for maintaining the company's competitive edge in the market.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Sales and Marketing activity to achieve sales targets and ensure annual sales growth.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with key clients in the electric power sector.
  3. Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to showcase MV switchgear and capacitor bank solutions.
  4. Prepare and deliver proposals and quotations tailored to customer requirements.
  5. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure product specifications meet client needs.
  6. Provide after-sales support and address any technical issues that arise post-installation.
  7. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  8. Attend industry conferences and trade shows to promote products and network with potential clients.
  9. Assist in the development of marketing strategies to enhance product visibility.


Preferred Candidate:

  1. Strong technical background in MV Switchgear and Capacitor Bank.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Proven track record in sales, particularly in TRANSCO, AADC, ADDC, EWA, DEWA and SEWA.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits.
  7. Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
  8. Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  9. Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
  10. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
