Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our software company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in software sales and business development, with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships and sales initiatives.


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion for our software products and services.
  • Identify and prioritize target market segments, industries, and key accounts based on market research, competitive analysis, and company objectives.
  • Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients, including C-level executives, decision-makers, and influencers, to understand their business needs and position our solutions effectively.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and deal closure, to meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and customer success, to develop compelling value propositions, sales collateral, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, forecast sales opportunities accurately, and provide regular updates on sales performance and progress against targets.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to represent the company, generate leads, and build brand awareness in the market.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape, and proactively identify new opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and product gaps, and provide feedback to inform product roadmap and development priorities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.

  • 3-5 years of experience in software sales, business development, or related roles, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Skills & Abilities


  • Deep understanding of the software industry, including software products, services, and technologies, and familiarity with software development methodologies and trends.
  • Strong network of contacts and relationships with potential clients, partners, and industry influencers in the software industry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies and plans.
  • Results-driven and customer-focused mindset, with a passion for driving value for customers and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales productivity tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support sales activities.
