Job Description
Ensure that projects comply with the health and safety regulations and standards, by performing frequent health and safety checks on construction projects and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform the assigned duties as per the set policies and procedures in order to achieve the department goals.
- Execute the approved HSSE policies and procedures, plans and programs in the company.
- Develop KCG's health and safety guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Align with the latest health and safety techniques standards and accordingly recommends updating policies and procedures.
- Develop projects safety analyses or other project risk management methods to control high risk activities.
- Identify potential conditions and practices in systems, equipment, facilities or processes to be used in projects and develop methods for
managing such conditions.
- Conduct random health and safety checks in the sites to ensure compliance with KCG health and safety policies and guidelines based on
the set plans.
- Evaluate the degree of which the projects set-up, planning and scheduling contribute to safe project execution.
- Participate in the investigation of health and safety incidents and ensure effective investigation, analysis and reporting of all health and safety
incidents.
- Attend all the project HSE meetings and solve any issue in coordination with the main contractor.
- Assist in the implementation measures to prevent recurrence of such incidents after coordination with the concerned Projects Managers.
- Report non-compliance with KCG health and safety policies and guidelines along with recommended rectification actions.
- Develop the relevant health and safety reports including the incidents that occurred, the site in which the incidents occurred, the recorded
time of the incident and the recommended course of action.
- Apply and use the HSSE tools, forms, mechanisms needed to gather data and information.
- Gather and compile data generated from field and inspection visits and discuss them with the concerned parties.
- Prepare and submit Audit close-out reports on a monthly time basis.
- Prepare and submit all the up to date safety matters reports on the site on a timely basis.
- Handle industrial hygiene, equipment protection and other health and safety programs.
- Evaluate project commitment to ensure providing a safe work environment during the project execution.
- Any other tasks related to the job assigned by the direct manager.
Skills
Minimum Education: Diploma Degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering or in any related field.
Minimum Experience: At least 1 year's of experience in a related field
Certifications: Must have (OSHAD certificate, Nebosh certificate, and ISO 45001 certificate) plus any related training
