Ensure Compliance: Monitor operations to ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards.
Training: Plan and conduct safety training sessions for employees on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.
Risk Assessment: Identify potential hazards in the workplace through systematic risk assessments and collaborate with teams to implement effective control measures.
Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into workplace accidents, near misses, or other safety incidents, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Emergency Response Planning: Develop and coordinate emergency response plans and procedures to address potential emergencies such as fires, chemical spills, or medical emergencies.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and safety-related communications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree / Diploma in related field
Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH/equivalent certificate)
Proven experience as a Safety Engineer or similar role in the construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of safety procedures and regulatory standards.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
