What We’re Looking For


  • Previous experience as a Rooms Controller is advantageous.
  • Computer literacy, with a mastery of Word, Excel, and Outlook, while possessing an exceptional knowledge of Hotel PMS, specifically Opera.
  • A hands-on attitude, fuelled by a ‘Can-Do!’ Spirit.
  • Exceptional skills in Improving Customer Satisfaction, showcasing a commitment to Industry-Leading Standards.
  • 'FIVE-Styled’ Visionary thinking by finding creative solutions, while taking Ownership for all duties and tasks assigned.
  • Sensational Teamwork and Collaboration skills to work effectively within a group and across departments with Fellow ‘FIVERs.’
  • Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English (Additional languages are a Plus).
  • Strong understanding of Industry Regulations is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities


  • Extends a Warm Welcome to all guests in true ‘FIVE-Style.’
  • Anticipates and addresses Guests’ needs proactively, assisting individuals with disabilities with sensitivity.
  • Assigns rooms according to Guest Preferences and Requests, offering a bespoke, tailored Guest Experience.
  • Pre-registers Designated Guests and prepares personalised Key Packets.
  • Organises and orchestrates seamless check-in and pre-registration procedures for Arriving Groups.
  • Reviews, tracks, and accommodates requests for Room Changes or Check-Out Adjustments, communicating status updates to the appropriate staff. Confirms Reservations and manages Cancellations efficiently.
  • Reviews out-of-order rooms daily to help maintain FIVE’s industry-leading reputation.
  • Ensures rates align with Market Codes and carefully documents exceptions.
  • Verifies and adjusts Billing for Guests, and meticulously Files Guest Paperwork or Documentation.
  • Sets up and processes all Guest check-ins and check-outs, activating Room Keys and ensuring Secure Payments.
  • Identifies and resolves any over-commitments, conducting thorough Duplicate Reservation Checks and blocking rooms for a hassle-free guest experience.
  • Runs Daily Reports to maintain a Boundary-Breaking level of service.
  • Follows up with Guests to ensure their Requests or Concerns have been met to their complete satisfaction, demonstrating a commitment to a ‘FIVE-Star’ Guest Experience.
  • Receives, records, and relays messages accurately, completely, and legibly.
  • Adheres strictly to all company Policies and Procedures, maintaining a clean and professional ‘FIVE-Styled’ Uniform and Appearance.
  • Upholds the highest level of confidentiality for Proprietary Information and safeguards Company Assets.
  • Communicates using Clear and Professional Language, preparing and reviewing Written Documents with accuracy and completeness.
  • Answers telephones with First-in-Class Industry Etiquette.
