The Digital Pathology National Sales Manager for Leica Biosystems is responsible for the achievement of targets, strategy, budget, business development, projects, DBS and People Management,


This position is part of the Digital Pathology Commercial team located in META and will be fully remote.  At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.


You will be a part of the Digital Pathology Commercial team and report to the Sr. Commercial Director, Digital Pathology responsible for owning the digital pathology strategy, development of the strategy to drive growth and goals for the META Region.  If you thrive in a fast paced role and want to work to build a world-class commercial organization—read on.


In this role, you will:


  • Focus on the achievement of targets, strategy, budget, business development, projects, DBS and People Management,
    •    Lead coach, mentor and support a team of Digital Pathology Sales Specialist and Application Consultants and Account Managers when needed, to enable the development inclusion and retention of direct reports. 
    •    Travel with associates providing individual coaching and professional development (target 3 days per week or 60% of available time)
    •    Build a strong network to strategic customers and be actively involved in regional DP sales projects
    •    Develop and lead change management initiatives across the organization
    •    Defining and lead new ways of working
    •    Engage and lead the team to achieve and exceed individual quarterly and annual sales quota, strategic and sales objectives
    •    Lead all engagement activity for the team
    •    Lead by example as a people manager for LBS EMEA that includes all leadership core behaviours engagement, and other people related activities, e.g. P4G, D4G
    •    Ensure all people related activity is completed for the team
    •    Develop, maintain and implement development plans for all direct reports
    •    Recruit, develop and train your team with clearly communicated sales and overall performance standards
    •    Establish Standards of Performance for direct reports and set expectations on completion of responsibilities and duties
    •    Lead EMEA projects as required
    •    Apply DBS tools as daily work. Implement visual management for entire sales team
    •    Drive at the country level the Digital Pathology sales funnel in collaboration with the Digital Pathology national team and the AM team.
    •    Lead the tender response process as applicable, in collaboration with DP team and other resources as applicable 

The essential requirements of the job include:


  • Proven track record of sustained understanding and knowledge of Healthcare Sector, introducing complex IT, workflow-changing solutions to Healthcare/Life Science customers
  • Sales and Project Management experience as well as experience in managing a team
  • Significant Experience in complex multistakeholder sales as well as managing and defining Customer Service Strategy
  • Ability to prioritize and focus. Self-starter, highly organized: able to set up and maintain new processes within a dynamic organization. Able to learn quickly demonstrates agility, about a new clinical space and industry, identify and work with key players, leverages past learnings. Has the ability to simplify and drive action sometimes without all the data necessary to make a decision
  • Experience in solving Problems. Attention to detail with strong project management, resource planning, and analytical skills leading to consistent on-time delivery of high-quality creative assets, ability to apply PSP tools, recommending process-based countermeasures
