Job Description

In Svitzer we believe that “When we are passionate about our people, our people will be passionate about our customers. Svitzer is a true people company. Leading sustainable marine solutions requires not only the best equipment but an environment where people can truly thrive with passion for our customers, innovating together.

Who we are

For the recent 45 years of Svitzer’s close to 200 years’ history, we have been part of A.P. Moller - Maersk, but we were recently de-merged and separately listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen. This means you will be leading People & Culture in an exciting, new context of Svitzer, once again, being an independent company. You will also become part of a company with an innovative mindset and a desire to leave a better world for the future generations, taking a front-runner position in the green transition.

The core of our business is towage, which means we help our customers manoeuvre their larger ships safely and timely in and out of ports. We operate globally in 35+ countries, across 140 ports. Most of our business is to support container vessels, cargo ships, cruise ships and navy vessels but we also attend to emergencies like vessels being adrift or offshore fires. And we have started exploring new digital and green products and partnerships in an exciting journey, leading the way for towage to generate a cleaner, greener future for our industry.

The Svitzer AMEA region is headquartered in Dubai and spans 13 countries from Liberia in the most western part of our region to the Philippines in the most Eastern part. We operate a fleet of 110 vessels across 2 ports and 17 terminals. More than 950 employees contribute to ensuring the safety and reliability of port operations in the region.
