Job Description

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Minor Hotels employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:



• Participate in the smooth running of the Recreational Areas on a day-to-day basis to achieve the highest possible levels of guest satisfaction.
This includes Gym Facilities, Kids Club, Outdoor Sports Areas such as Tennis and Padel and other areas where Recreational Experiences are held.
• Participate and propose to Management unique and interesting activities that draw upon the best cultural, sporting or other offerings of the area in which the hotel is located. Help make the Recreation offering a point of competitive advantage for the hotel. Ensure outsourced service provides maintenance standards.
• To have a complete knowledge of the products and services offered by the hotel, and in particular all the fitness, sports, kids program and equipment in the hotel.
• Presence in the Gym facilities welcoming guests, assisting with fitness equipment and recommendations. Maintain the area arranged as per standards and contribute with the daily cleaning and maintenance of the facility.
• In the gym, provide guests and members with skills, knowledge and motivation to achieve and maintain exercise related fitness goal.
• In the gym, develop and maintain a file system to ensure record of guests’ information for proper follow-up on fitness goal progress.
• In the Changing Rooms, ensure the areas are clean and in optimum conditions at all times and communicate when necessary if required assistance from other Departments.]
• Ensure the linen, towels and amenities arrangement is operated smoothly on daily basis.
• To lead the implementation of all health and safety codes in the Recreation activities of the hotel.
• Ensure that all Recreational activities are performed in a safe environment using proper safety techniques.


• Monitor the success of the Recreation & Fitness programs through the number of participants per scheduled event and through guests’ feedback. Make necessary adjustments to maintain top quality, fun filled and original programs for hotel guests.
• Prepare and circulate clear information to guests of the events offered by the hotel in conjunction with the Minor Hotels Concierge.
• Develop and maintain a strong working environment with the other departments.
• Ensure proper accounting procedures are followed when collecting of charging fees for Sports & Recreations
• Be prepared to assume other Sports & Recreations duties or other hotel responsibilities as requested by Management.
• Drive revenues for the department.



Qualifications

1. Knowledge in methods, techniques, principles and procedures on different fitness classes performed.
2. Fitness instructor certifications or its equivalent is recommended.
3. Other Recommended Certified Fitness Specialty Techniques: Yoga, Pilates
4. CPR / First Aid and lifesaving certifications is recommended.
5. Familiar with the use of windows applications and programs such as excel, MS Office, OPERA, Micros.
