Purpose of the Job
The purpose of this role is to ensure smooth turnaround of aircraft consistent delivery of high performance standards within the time constraints of the service level agreements of the customer airlines, whilst maintaining Health & Safety and good working practices in line with company policy. To lead the team and effectively manage accurate loading and unloading of aircraft as detailed by the CPM or LIR
Key Responsibilities
To assist the Ramp Allocator with the daily operational requirements of the ramp
• To liaise closely with The Customer Airline representative to ensure all ramp related requirements are met
• To communicate quickly and efficiently with dispatch and load control and to deal with any issues arising from the loading / unloading process in order to achieve on time performance while following safety standards
• To accurately and timely complete Trip Files and other necessary forms and documentation and forward them to OCC for further processing and auditing
• To accurately record on charge notes times when various ramp services are provided
• To provide a swift service related to passenger/baggage/cargo handling
• Operate company’s equipment when required after having successfully completed relevant training and certification
• Manage the team of Airport Agents and Equipment agents effectively in order to deliver the highest standard of service to customers in a safe manner
• Perform all activities related to aircraft arrival/departure such as aircraft chocking, supply of GPU/ACU/ASU and other required GSE, walkaround checks etc.
• Perform Ground to Flight deck head set communication on arrival and departures of Aircraft
• Understanding and use off headset and radio procedures including hand signals
• Applies correct tie-down procedures in line with IATA guidelines when required
• Supervise cabin loading when applicable and ensure that it is done as per the airline’s procedure
• To ensure hazardous goods are loaded in accordance with prevailing regulations
• Familiarised with airport runway and taxiway designators
• To provide brake-riding, APU start-up procedures and the safe operation of aircraft doors
• To ensure baggage and freight are delivered to aircraft in time for loading
• To be in possession of LDM and connection baggage details prior to aircraft arrival
• Plan offloading/loading activities in a safe and swift manner so as to achieve OT delivery of baggage/cargo
• To ensure swift delivery of baggage to the I.A.B. and unloading of baggage onto the reclaim belt
• To ensure swift delivery of baggage to the Transfer Unit / Drop-off point and tail to tail transfer
• To ensure swift delivery of cargo to the warehouse or connecting flights

Plan, provide and manage the team for collection and loading of gate items
• Ensure unloading and delivery of items to the gate lounge / aircraft side is done
• Organise delivery / collection of freight and empty containers and/ or trolleys to/from the cargo sheds or the appropriate storage area
• Report any defective equipment immediately
• Ensure equipment is kept clean and tidy and is stored in the correct area and manner
• To ensure stands are clean and free from Foreign Object Debris (FOD), carry out FOD checks pre arrival/post departure and to dispose of any FOD found accordingly
• To ensure all relevant staff and GSE are in attendance for aircraft arrivals at -10 minutes to ETA and the sand is ready for aircraft arrival
• Understand and act upon all prevailing Airport instructions / Company instructions
• To ensure company’s uniform and grooming standards are being adhered to at all times
• To ensure that the relevant Health & Safety, Security and company policy requirements are fully complied with and to report those that are not
• Ensure the team comply with the PPE requirements and Uniform and Grooming standards
• Performs effective briefings with the team prior to attending to flights and any de-briefings as/if required
• Representing The Company in a professional manner
• Any other duties and responsibilities that the Company requires in order to achieve the smooth running of the operation
• Adhere to the company Safety Compliance Policy, Security Policy and Health & Safety Policy.

Qualifications
• High Secondary, Diploma or equivalent
• Excellent command of the English Language
• Driving license
Experience
• At least 2 year experience in operational activities within Aviation Industry
• Previous experience and/or understanding of the ramp operation and leading small teams
• Ability to work under pressure and to very tight deadlines
