About the Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing project costs and ensuring budgets are adhered to during the construction process. Based on-site, you will work closely with the Resident Engineer, Project Manager, contractors, and stakeholders to provide accurate cost assessments, risk management, and contractual advice.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
Reviewing construction plans and preparing detailed quantity requirements.
Negotiating contracts, work schedules, and budgets with contractors and subcontractors.
Conducting risk assessments, cost management, and value engineering during construction phases.
Evaluating and recommending interim payments, managing variations, and finalising accounts.
Monitoring project progress to ensure financial accuracy and adherence to budget.
Providing contractual advice on claims, disputes, and resolutions.
Building and maintaining professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About You
We’re looking for a skilled professional with a proven track record in Quantity Surveying, particularly within the UAE market. You’ll thrive in a dynamic construction environment and have a detail-oriented approach to cost control and contract management.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, accredited by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, with a strong emphasis on UAE-based projects.
Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in construction cost estimation, risk analysis, and contract negotiation.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
What’s on Offer:
Salary: AED 15,000 per month (negotiable for the right candidate).
