Job Description

Key Responsibilities / Job Description:

  • Review project plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Study, review of tender drawings/documents for discrepancies, additional BOQ items/scope and incorporating within the tender offer, liaise with consultant regarding ambiguities contract work scope and clarifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for estimating.
  • Analyse labour, material, and time requirements to determine project costs.
  • Sending inquiries & quotation to suppliers/subcontractors and coordinating.
  • Preparing bills of quantities by means of coordinating with all related parties (Design, Procurement and Finance), assist in costing, pricing and analysis of direct and indirect cost for the BOQ items.
  • Check and review the site requisitions and compare them with the approved Bill of Quantity (BOQ).
  • Analyse cost implications of various design options and provide value engineering solutions.
  • Prepare detailed and competitive project quotations within specified deadlines.
  • Conduct Site Visits to take measurements and monitor progress.
  • Submit and negotiate contract variations, additional works, snags and maintenance orders.
  • Assist in procurement processes and ensure cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track and update project costings as required.
  • Provide regular reports on project costs and adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimating data and update cost databases as needed.
