About the job QUANTITY SURVEYOR
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:To ensure the accurate quantification, cost estimation, and efficient management of all aspects related to rebar and reinforcement in construction projects. Their role bridges the gap between design intent, budgeting, and actual site implementation, contributing to the project's overall financial and operational success.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Accurately measure and quantify rebar and reinforcement requirements from drawings and specifications.Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.Prepare and review tender documents, bills of quantities, and specifications.Evaluate supplier and subcontractor bids for cost efficiency and compliance.Monitor project budgets and ensure adherence to cost control measures.Identify and report cost variances, providing recommendations for corrective actions.Prepare interim valuations and final accounts.Verify and certify subcontractor and supplier invoices.\Review and manage contract terms, conditions, and obligations.Handle claims, variations, and disputes effectively.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure accurate execution of rebar and reinforcement works.Conduct regular site visits to verify work progress and measurements.Prepare periodic cost reports and forecasts.Provide detailed documentation for project close-out.KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of GCC experience, with a focus on UAE contracting companies and rebar/reinforcement works.Proficient in quantity take-offs and cost estimation software.Strong knowledge of rebar and reinforcement materials and standards.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Must be locally available in the UAE and ready to join immediately.
