Conduct quality inspections on mechanical systems, components, and installations to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to verify quality and workmanship.
Perform in-process and final inspections, documenting findings and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) and mechanical integrity checks to identify defects and ensure reliability.
Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports, test records, and quality documentation.
Monitor adherence to international mechanical standards such as ASME, API, and ISO 9001.
Collaborate with project engineers, contractors, and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues.
Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and testing equipment.
Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action implementation.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations in mechanical inspections.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience in mechanical quality control/assurance in industries such as construction, oil & gas, or manufacturing.
Certification in QA/QC (CSWIP, AWS, API, ASNT Level II, or equivalent) is preferred.
Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of mechanical quality assurance and control processes.
Proficiency in inspection techniques, testing procedures, and NDT methods.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, welding symbols, and material specifications.
Excellent documentation, reporting, and analytical skills.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, etc.).
