Job Description

The QA QC Engineer for Civil Engineering plays a pivotal role in ensuring that construction projects meet the required standards of quality and safety. This position is essential in the maritime and marine engineering sectors, where precision and adherence to regulations are paramount. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with a focus on quality assurance and quality control processes. This role involves collaborating with various teams to uphold the highest standards throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to execution.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control procedures for civil engineering projects.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  3. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
  4. Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including reports, checklists, and non-conformance reports.
  5. Train and mentor junior staff on quality control processes and best practices.
  6. Coordinate with external agencies for quality inspections and certifications.
  7. Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards.
  8. Review and approve material submittals and shop drawings.
  9. Participate in project meetings to discuss quality-related topics and improvements.
  10. Continuously assess and improve quality management systems and processes.
