About the job QA/QC Engineer

Responsibilities


  • Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC policies and procedures to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct quality inspections and audits on finishing and fit-out works to ensure adherence to specifications, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and review materials, workmanship, and construction processes, ensuring they meet the projects quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain quality reports, inspection records, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) for documentation and analysis.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the implementation of ISO 9001 quality management system and conduct internal audits for continuous improvement.
  • Identify non-conformities and develop corrective and preventive action plans to address quality deviations.
  • Review and approve method statements, material submittals, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
  • Conduct training and awareness sessions for site personnel on quality assurance best practices.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure quality requirements are met.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Architecture Engineering.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in QA/QC, specifically in finishing and fit-out projects.
  • Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, finishing techniques, and industry quality standards.
  • Experience with non-conformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • Proficient in QA/QC documentation, reporting, and auditing.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
