Job Description

The QA/QC Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects meet the highest quality standards and comply with all relevant regulations. This position involves developing and implementing quality assurance and quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle. The QA/QC Engineer will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to identify potential quality issues and ensure that corrective actions are taken promptly. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the construction industry, particularly in quality management systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control plans for construction projects.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  3. Identify and document non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  4. Collaborate with project teams to provide guidance on quality-related issues.
  5. Review and approve material submittals and shop drawings for compliance with specifications.
  6. Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports and test results.
  7. Train and mentor staff on quality control processes and best practices.
  8. Coordinate with external agencies for third-party inspections and testing.
  9. Participate in project meetings to discuss quality performance and improvement opportunities.
  10. Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to quality assurance in construction.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong report writing and documentation skills.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
