Job Description

The QA/QC Engineer plays a crucial role in the construction and building industry, ensuring that all processes, materials, and workmanship meet the required standards of quality. This position involves implementing quality control measures and conducting inspections to guarantee compliance with project specifications and regulations. The QA/QC Engineer works closely with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to identify potential issues and ensure that corrective actions are taken promptly. With a minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 10 years of experience required, this role is ideal for professionals who are detail-oriented and possess a strong understanding of construction practices.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement quality assurance and control procedures for construction projects.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and audits on-site to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  3. Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports and non-conformance reports.
  4. Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues effectively.
  5. Provide training and guidance to site personnel on quality standards and procedures.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the performance of subcontractors to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
  7. Participate in project meetings to discuss quality issues and improvements.
  8. Review and approve material submittals and shop drawings for compliance with specifications.
  9. Implement corrective actions for any identified deficiencies in quality.
  10. Stay updated on industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance.

  7. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  8. Knowledge of relevant construction codes and standards.
  9. Ability to handle stressful situations and meet tight deadlines.
  10. Proactive approach to identifying potential quality issues.
  11. Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
