Job Description
The QA/QC Assistant - Production is responsible for supporting the Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities within the production department. This role ensures that all products meet the required standards and specifications before they are delivered to clients. The QA/QC Assistant will work closely with the production team, QA/QC Manager, and other stakeholders to maintain high-quality production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance Support
- Assist in developing and implementing quality assurance procedures and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Support the development and maintenance of quality documentation, including manuals, procedures, and inspection reports.
Quality Control Activities
- Perform routine quality checks on products at various stages of production.
- Assist in the testing of materials and products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Document and report any quality issues or defects to the QA/QC Manager and production team.
Inspection and Testing
- Assist in the preparation and execution of inspection and testing plans.
- Use measurement tools and equipment to conduct quality checks and tests.
- Record and analyze test data, and prepare detailed reports.
Non-conformance Management
- Assist in identifying, documenting, and managing non-conforming products.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes to resolve quality issues.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective actions to ensure effectiveness.
Continuous Improvement
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
- Participate in quality audits and contribute to the development of improvement plans.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and new quality control methods.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records and documentation.
- Prepare and present quality reports to the QA/QC Manager and production team.
- Assist in preparing documentation for external audits and client reviews.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with the production team to ensure quality standards are understood and followed.
- Communicate quality issues and improvement suggestions effectively.
- Support training sessions for production staff on quality standards and procedures.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: A degree or diploma in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and equipment, knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to identify defects and non-conformances.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze test data and identify trends or issues.
- Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills to support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
