Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pulmonology Consultant with expertise in Interventional Bronchoscopy. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Department of Health (DOH) license and have extensive experience in managing a wide range of pulmonary conditions through advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopic procedures. As a Pulmonology Consultant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing complex bronchoscopic interventions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to clinical education and research within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a wide range of diagnostic and interventional bronchoscopic procedures, including but not limited to:
Flexible bronchoscopy
Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS)
Bronchial thermoplasty
Stent placement and removal
Balloon dilation and tumor ablation
Foreign body retrieval
Diagnose and manage patients with chronic respiratory diseases, lung cancer, pulmonary infections, interstitial lung disease, and other pulmonary conditions.
Collaborate with thoracic surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive patient care.
Review patient medical histories, perform physical examinations, and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., CT scans, pulmonary function tests).
Develop individualized treatment plans for patients, ensuring the highest standard of care and safety.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior physicians, residents, and medical staff.
Participate in clinical rounds, departmental meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all hospital and healthcare regulations.
Engage in research activities, clinical trials, and academic pursuits as part of the institution’s mission.
Stay current with the latest advancements in pulmonology and interventional bronchoscopy techniques.
