Job Description

The Public Relations Officer plays a vital role in managing and enhancing the public image of our company within the petrochemicals and refined petroleum products industry. This position requires a strategic thinker who can effectively communicate our brand values and engage with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public relations, media relations, and corporate communications, with a proven track record of developing successful PR campaigns. This role is essential for maintaining positive relationships with the media, government entities, and the community, ensuring that our company’s voice is heard and respected.Responsibilities:Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies to promote the company’s image and products.Manage media relations by building and maintaining relationships with journalists and media outlets.Prepare and distribute press releases, media kits, and other promotional materials.Organize and coordinate press conferences, media events, and community outreach programs.Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on public perception and media trends.Respond to media inquiries and manage crisis communication effectively.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.Conduct market research to identify opportunities for public engagement and brand enhancement.Assist in the development of marketing materials that align with PR initiatives.Evaluate the effectiveness of PR campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.Preferred Candidate:Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Proven experience in public relations or corporate communications.Valid UAE Driving License.Creative thinker with problem-solving abilities.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Knowledge of the petrochemical industry and its regulatory environment.Fluency in both English and Arabic is a plus.Proficient in using social media platforms for PR purposes.
