Proposal & Estimation Engineer - UAE National Only
Proposal and Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparation of Proposals and estimation for Airfield Ground Lighting Systems, and special airport systems for the airside and control tower systems as per Airport business bidding guidelines and procedures. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. Overall planning & delivery responsibility with quality, high accuracy and on time proposal submission are essential.
Key responsibilities
· Preparing end to end solution development and estimation
· Analyze the customer requirements, identify viable solutions options, select the right solution which is fully compliant and will provide a competitive edge Technically and commercially.
· Prepare competent estimation and proposals for Airside and Tower systems.
· Develop skills and knowledge on Airside Systems and International Aviation Standards and Regulation,
· Raise and list questions to the Estimation/Bid manager that require further clarifications
· Read the technical specifications and choose the appropriate components for various Airfield Systems,
· Prepare System Architecture diagrams, component descriptions, solution description documents
· Prepare Bill of quantities
· Perform Load calculations and identify CCR ratings and quantities
· Send enquiries and coordinate with vendors/Supply chain for proposals.
· Prepare Airfield Ground Lighting and Signs design
· Perform Price and Technical comparison/evaluation using market knowledge, Historic information for accurate estimates and proper choosing of solutions.
· Carefully analyze and prepare Technical Compliance matrix.
· Prepare and compile the overall estimate.
· Responsible for the accuracy and quality of the estimates and solutions.
· Review and ensure the Estimates & Proposals are Technically & Commercially fully compliant with the requirements.
· Ensure timely delivery of the solution & estimates within the deadlines.
· Prepare responses for Customer/Engineer clarifications and support the sales team in pre-sales support activities.
· Support in the preparation of Technical documents and Pre-Qualification Documentation Submittals
· Support, coordinate with team members constructively to achieve organizational goals
Key skills and qualifications
·Graduate/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic / Computer Science Engineering / Information Technology
·0-2 years’ experience in solution development or estimation and proposal development
·Affluent in English language (both Speaking and Writing)
·Basic AutoCAD knowledge will be an asset
·Good Working Knowledge on Windows, Microsoft Office (Specially in Excel), Visio
·Presentation and communication skills
