Job Description

Job Summary & Purpose:

Ideal candidate should have strong knowledge in AutoCAD, with excellent problem solving skill to assist project team in seamless project execution from concept to completion. Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders, manage technical challenges, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs) & Principal Accountabilities

1 Drawing Preparation:

• Develop and provide store, warehouse, and office layouts as per project requirements.

• Ensure all layouts comply with company standards and mall guidelines.

• Share finalized drawings with mall management, stakeholders, and brands for review and approval.

2 Store Audits & Compliance:

• Conduct monthly store audits, preparing detailed reports on layout compliance and identifying discrepancies.

• Recommend corrective actions for any deviations from approved layouts.

• Update store layouts and circulate with internal stakeholders based on operational requirements, ensuring alignment with latest brand changes.

3 Retail Fit-Outs & Renovations:

• Assist project team for all retail fit-outs and renovation projects, ensuring execution aligns with approved designs.

• Assist projects team to complete the projects within the defined timeline and quality standards.

• As required conduct site inspections to assess space constraints, utility availability, and project feasibility and report project team

• Evaluate project scope and develop technical recommendations based on site conditions for the assigned project.

4 Stakeholder Coordination:

• Work closely with stakeholders to finalize technical requirements and develop implementation plans.

• Collaborate with internal team and mall management for proper execution of store layouts and brand zone implementations.

• Address technical concerns and align project deliverables with business objectives.

5 As-Built Drawings & Contractor Coordination:

• Review and verify as-built drawings submitted by contractors, ensuring accuracy.

• Identify and report any discrepancies, coordinating necessary revisions.

6 Shop-in-Shop (SIS) & Store Enhancements:

• Assist project team for the design execution and installation of brand shop-in-shops (SIS) and store enhancements.

• Ensure adherence to design guidelines and retail standards.

7 Permit Approvals & Regulatory Compliance:

• Handle the submission and approval process for Mall, CID, and Police permits.

• Ensure projects comply with regulatory requirements and resolve approval delays proactively.


RequirementsExperience (Years & Field) Minimum 2-4 years of experience in draftsmanship for retail store designs with a proven track record of preparing technical drawings from concept to detailed designs of stores of relevant sizes.

Educational Qualification Diploma in Architectural / Interior Design Draftsmanship

Professional Certifications Professional certification in AutoCAD training.

Skills & Abilities • Strong understanding of retail fit-out projects, technical drawings, and site audits.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and project software.

• Experience in coordinating with mall management, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

• Basic Knowledge of MEP, civil modifications, and store layout planning.

• Experience using SAP or similar financial tracking systems is an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.

• Proficiency in MS Office packages.

• Should have UAE driving license
