Job Summary: The Project Manager will oversee the execution of our marine operations projects, including maintenance and installation activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine construction, project management, and team leadership. This role requires hands-on management of site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The Project Manager will oversee daily operations related to the installation, maintenance, and inspection of marine barriers and Aids to Navigations. The Project Manager should have strong relationship management & client interaction skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage a team of technicians and contractors.


Key Responsibilities:


Project Planning & Execution:


  • Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate with engineers, designers, clients, consultants and other stakeholders to ensure all project requirements are met.
  • Oversee the installation of marine barriers, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Handling projects and paperwork from start until the end with focus on project closing documents, invoicing
  • Documentation oF Project related paperwork, Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Progress reports.

Site Management:


  • Manage daily operations on-site, including labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Address and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the project.

Team Leadership:


  • Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team, including subcontractors and site personnel.
  • Conduct regular meetings to communicate project goals, timelines, and updates.
  • Ensure all team members are aware of their responsibilities and are equipped to perform their tasks.

Safety & Compliance:


  • Implement and enforce strict safety protocols to protect the workforce and environment.
  • Ensure all work complies with company policies, industry standards, and coastguard requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments and develop contingency plans as necessary.
  • Investigate and report any incidents or accidents.

Budget Management:


  • Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and manage cost controls.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective solutions.

Client & Stakeholder Communication:


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality work on schedule.
  • Provide regular updates to clients on project status and progress.
  • Ensure client satisfaction with the services provided.

Qualifications:


  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in project management within the marine construction industry.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale marine barrier projects.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of marine construction techniques and equipment.
    • Excellent relationship management, leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
    • Proficient in MS office.
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards in marine environments.
    • Ability to solve problems quickly and make decisions under pressure.

Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to work in outdoor environments, including on-site at marine locations.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work extended hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
  • Comfortable working on and around water.
  • Knows how to swim
