Job Description
Apt Resources is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a renowned Design, Fitout, and Landscaping company. The Project Manager - Fitout will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of interior fitout projects. This role demands a highly organized and detail-focused individual who can manage all phases of the fitout process, including budgeting, scheduling, team coordination, and quality assurance. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the client's expectations in terms of design and functionality.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination
- Develop detailed project plans, outlining scope, schedule, and resource requirements.
- Lead project kickoff meetings and ensure all stakeholders are aligned on project goals.
- Monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to timelines and milestones.
Budget and Cost Control
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Track expenditures, manage change orders, and control financial risks to prevent cost overruns.
- Collaborate with the quantity surveyor to ensure accurate costing and reporting.
Client and Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
- Organize client meetings, presentations, and site visits to keep stakeholders informed.
- Address client concerns and adjust project plans as needed to maintain satisfaction.
Team Leadership and Coordination
- Lead a team of designers, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring collaboration and efficient workflow.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, tracking performance and progress.
- Ensure all work is performed to the highest standards, maintaining clear communication between team members.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that work is proceeding according to plan, design specifications, and quality standards.
- Ensure that all work complies with local regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
- Identify and resolve any issues or non-compliance promptly.
Procurement and Vendor Management
- Oversee procurement of materials and services required for the project, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure the best terms for the project.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure materials meet design specifications.
Risk Management and Problem Solving
- Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
- Resolve issues related to project scope, resources, or unforeseen circumstances that may arise during construction.
- Adjust project schedules and resources to minimize disruptions and delays.
Health and Safety
- Ensure all site activities are conducted in accordance with safety regulations.
- Conduct safety audits and provide training to team members as necessary.
- Address and mitigate any health and safety risks on-site.
Project Handover and Close-Out
- Oversee the final handover process, ensuring all project deliverables meet the client’s requirements.
- Prepare close-out documentation, including warranties, manuals, and compliance certificates.
- Conduct a post-project review to assess performance, lessons learned, and client satisfaction.
