Job Summary:
The Project Manager will oversee the entire fit-out project lifecycle from initial planning and design through to final handover. This role requires coordination with clients, contractors, designers, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery within established timelines and budgets. The role demands strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to manage complex, fast-paced projects.
Key Responsibilities:Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, designers, and contractors to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Prepare detailed project plans, timelines, and milestone tracking to monitor progress.
- Review designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure they meet client requirements and regulations.
Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their vision and expectations are met.
- Manage client relationships throughout the project lifecycle, providing updates and addressing any concerns.
- Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to report on project progress, financial status, and challenges.
Team Leadership:
- Lead a team of subcontractors, designers, engineers, and other specialists.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Resolve on-site issues and provide clear direction to ensure efficient workflows.
Budget & Cost Control:
- Prepare project budgets, forecast expenditures, and track project costs.
- Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and labor, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Review and approve invoices and payments, maintaining financial oversight.
Quality Control & Compliance:
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant building codes, safety standards, and regulations.
- Perform regular site inspections to monitor quality and address any issues proactively.
- Manage risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure safety and quality standards.
Risk Management & Problem Solving:
- Identify potential risks to the project and develop contingency plans.
- Resolve issues related to timelines, resources, budgets, or quality swiftly and effectively.
- Anticipate potential obstacles and implement proactive solutions.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation including contracts, permits, schedules, budgets, and reports.
- Provide regular updates to senior management, clients, and stakeholders on project status.
- Ensure proper documentation for project handover, including warranties, manuals, and final reports.
Key Qualifications:Education:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or related field (preferred).
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in project management within the interior fit-out or construction industry.
- Proven experience in managing high-end commercial and/or residential fit-out projects from start to finish.
Skills:
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.) and other construction management tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
