Your Role The primary function of the role is to handle the Import, Export and Cross trade operations by all mode of transport (Air,Sea,Road) in line with the overall company strategy and policies and assist to develop and maintain profitable operation. HSE and data quality is always at the forefront of the work you do. You act as the customer's front-line support by providing information and answering questions while building and maintaining a strong and trustful partnership with customers, suppliers, colleagues, and BU. The specialist is responsible for the profitability of orders, correct invoicing, and data quality. Your Responsibilities
- You will effectively handle the Import/Export/Cross trade logistics forwarding operations in strict adherence to the SOP, and you will follow up with airline / shipping line / trucking companies... on the status of the import/export cargo.
- You will plan, organize, record, communicate and report operational activities to customer, Line manager and other team members.
- You will ensure workload and tasks are well managed and deadlines met as per the KPI.
- You will be a team player with all stake holders of the operations process that includes other operators, internal departments, vendors, subcontractors, carriers, customs authorities, customs brokers, and the client.
- You will both ensure to select the best service option maximizing profitability while delivering the clients expectations, and work with existing Business Units pricing teams to ensure alignment and maximize opportunities to consolidate or obtain better rates.
- You will need to comply with all guidelines set by QSHE (Quality, Safety, Health & Environment).
Assist the Operations Manager to oversee the entire logistics operations/documentation and ensure prompt customer service. - Comprehend customer's quick needs for Air, Sea and Road operations based on requirements of customer, evaluate, and determine the exact Cargo specifications in order to manage the operational procurement of the services from Kuehne+Nagel's approved sub-contractors.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor Degree in related field
- 3+ years work experience in Oil & Gas and Project Logistics industry
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint…) and analytics,
- Very good verbal and written knowledge of English.
- A strong communicator who can understand and manage the requirements of customer versus suppliers in order to achieve best customer satisfaction.
- A process minded person with strong planning and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Negotiation skills with Carriers & sub-contractors, Trade Compliance and QSHE Compliance
