Job Description
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed project plans for MEP systems, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (civil, structural, etc.) to integrate MEP systems into overall project designs.
  • Review and analyze engineering designs, specifications, and technical drawings for MEP systems to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide technical support during the design phase, including proposing modifications or solutions to technical challenges.
  • Supervise the installation and commissioning of MEP systems on-site, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during construction and installation.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Review and approve technical documentation and drawings submitted by contractors.
  • Manage contractor performance, ensuring that work meets quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure that all MEP systems comply with local and international standards, regulations, and codes (e.g., ASME, API, NEC).
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Monitor project budgets and costs related to MEP systems, identifying any variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and submit regular cost reports to project managers.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure that all MEP activities are carried out in compliance with HSE policies and regulations.
  • Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations related to MEP systems.
  • Maintain detailed records of project progress, including site reports, as-built drawings, and change orders.
  • Prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and any issues.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Project Management.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with large-scale oil and gas projects, including offshore and onshore facilities.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP engineering within the oil and gas industry.

Additional Information
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, piping, electrical systems, fire protection, and plumbing.
  • Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HVAC design tools).
  • Understanding of relevant standards and codes (e.g., ASME, API, NEC, NFPA).
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with team members, contractors, and clients.
  • Experience with HSE regulations and a commitment to safety.
  • May involve working in harsh or remote environments, with exposure to hazardous materials or extreme weather conditions.
  • Will require frequent site visits and the ability to work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
