Development of production processes and people to generate efficiency improvements – shared with Lean Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Achieve and maintain a labor efficiency, EHR and Production output from each production dept. at a level agreed with the Plant Mgr.
Manage the labor force. Maintain a good standard of discipline, timekeeping, and performance.
Maintain product quality to the level set by the QC dept. and reduce scrap to the minimum.
Be aware of safety requirements and take necessary action to ensure safe practices are adhered to, with particular emphasis on risks associated with chemicals, fire, and the operation of machines.
Obtain/maintain a high standard of hygiene and housekeeping.
Ensure factory security and be available for call out situations outside normal working hours.
Perform appraisals and apply disciplinary procedure.
Minimize labor, energy, and material costs. To ensure workforce is suitably trained and skilled to meet the Company’s needs.
Any other task/ projects as directed by the Plant Director.
Requirements
Technical :
Knowledge of production control systems
Lean and 6S principles
Good knowledge of gas turbine filter production processes and standards, including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of raw materials, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of products
Ability to interpret technical drawings.
Knowledge of labor standard
Knowledge of industrial safety protocols

EDUCATION : Technical background, preferably educated to degree level
EXPERIENCE: 4-5 years of related experience in a gas turbine filter manufacturing and/or related environment of which at least 4-5 years as Manager Plant function.
