As part of its global footprint strategy, Thales Emarat Technologies (TET) is setting-up new state-of-the-art production facilities in the United Arab Emirates to produce locally a portfolio of legacy products in build-to-print mode and new products in build-to-spec mode.
The TET Radar CoE Serial Production Industrial Manager (SPIM) will lead the serial production of S-Band antennas/radars on UAE domestic and export projects, with the full respect of Thales quality referential and LAS/SRA processes. To prepare the production phase, he/she will deeply contribute to the deployment of a state-of-the-art Thales Radar Factory in the UAE, including antennas/radars production/testing means and production team.
He/she will be also a key contributor to the future growth of the CoE in line with the TET radars business plan objectives (other frequency bands, new products...).

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES



TRANSFER OF PRODUCTION - BUILD PHASE
To contribute to the deployment and the qualification of the Thales UAE Radar Factory, including hosting building and set-up of production means ( antennas/radars integration workshops anechoic chamber, ESD room for electromechanical modules integration including tests benches) To lead the deployment and the qualification of Industry 4.0 initiatives dedicated to radars/antennas productions (cobots, AGVs, geoloc, remote assistance/training, data stack, mobility, AIC tools...) in total collaboration with the BL To recruit and manage a core team of around 10 industrial engineers and technicians that will be in charge of the production of antennas/radars (production, supply chain, logistic...) To organize the training of the team in France (Thales Limours premises) To monitor the progress of the local supply chain qualification in line with the antennas/radars production plan To prepare the serial production of GM200 family antennas/radars, including the qualification of internal industrial processes and the deployment of TET ERP/PLM/MES To train the team to LEAN and 5S management and ensure the application of best practices To contribute to other projects linked to means/facilities linked to qualification, testing or production of radars/antennas (such as offsets projects) To build of strong collaboration network between LAS/SRA and TET radars industrial teams

PRODUCTION PHASE



To lead the serial production of antennas/radars for domestic and export programs To guarantee the respect of processes and quality standards in line with Thales LAS/SRA referential To set-up and monitor through KPIs a plan of continuous improvement to maximize the competitiveness of the local production To contribute to the next localization phases to improve the antennas/radars "In Country Value" as per radar BP f necessary, to support the offset and finance teams to prepare the offsets credits claim letters on project

BIDS & GROWTH STRATEGY



To represent TET industry for industrial contribution to radars bids (industrial baselines, quotations, qualification and production planning, PVETs...) To contribute to the TET industrial roadmap and MYB exercises (CAPEX investments, ramp-up, recruitment plans...) To be a key actor on transfer of knowledge to local teams (mentorship, training plan...) To contribute to the local radars R&D projects to guarantee design to manufacturing practices
The position is based in Abu Dhabi with frequent business trips to France for training and coordination/reporting with the BL

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS



More than 15 years of industrial management of complex devices for defense and/or space applications. Experience in RF measurement, modules and active antennas integration and complex testing campaigns. Successful international experience highly appreciated

QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS



Master's/engineering degree in electronics and/or industrial management

LANGUAGES:



Fluent in English and French mandatory
