About the job Procurement Manager

Our client is a prominent global gifting company based in the UAE, recognized for its extensive range of innovative products and exceptional customer experiences. They are looking for a Procurement Manager to join their dynamic team in Dubai.


As an experienced Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for developing new strategies to reduce costs and improve service and quality. To ensure that the quality of goods received is as per requirement and that purchases are done at the best price. Ensure all Purchases & inventories are within the annual budget.


Roles & responsibilities:


  • Developing sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchase of materials used in the business.
  • Maintaining relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors
  • Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries.
  • Communicating with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production
  • Conducting cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement
  • Developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages Supervising a purchasing team and delegating tasks across departments when necessary.
  • Working closely with the company's legal department to make sure contracts and terms are favourable.
  • Inventory management, planning and forecasting for replenishments, and supply chain strategies.
  • Sound knowledge of international logistics/Freight forwarding &supply chain channels
  • ERP Implementation

Requirements:


  • Knowledge of purchasing in GCC.
  • A minimum experience of 5-8 years in UAE in flowers, hypermarket chains, and home decor. fresh produce, fresh food, FMCG. Must have experience with international and local procurement
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to make decisions in accordance with responsibilities.
  • The incumbent works with a high degree of independence in performing his duties.
  • Must also function well in a team environment and can work well under pressure.
  • A strategic thinker, with commercial acumen to understand business needs and identify opportunities to support them through procurement.
  • Able to turn strategies into tactical plans and produce accurate and detailed reports and work.
