Pricing and Cost Optimization: Ensure competitive product pricing by negotiating contracts, discounts, and payment terms to protect margins and optimize cash flow.

Product and Supplier Strategy: Identify new brands and products, develop category assortment strategies, and explore opportunities for assortment expansion to align with customer preferences and business goals.

Procurement Function Leadership: Establish and lead the procurement function, fostering strong supplier relationships, implementing best practices, and aligning procurement efforts with organizational objectives.

Item Master and Product Registration Management: Oversee accurate product data entry and updates, ensuring all items are registered with relevant government and food authorities.

Market Intelligence and Competitor Analysis: Continuously monitor market trends, competitor actions, and price positioning to maintain a competitive edge and support brand strategy.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage ERP and analytical tools to assess product performance, supplier data, and market trends, supporting strategic procurement and category growth decisions






Profile




Extensive Procurement Expertise: Over 10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, ideally within the food or retail sector, with a strong grasp of short shelf life product dynamics.

Strategic and Analytical Mindset: Proficient in ERP systems and data analysis, with the ability to make data-driven decisions that enhance margins, optimize costs, and improve category performance.

Strong Negotiation and Relationship-Building Skills: Exceptional in negotiating contracts and building lasting supplier partnerships that align with business goals and secure competitive advantages.

Leadership and Initiative: Proven track record in setting up and managing a procurement function, fostering a collaborative environment, and implementing best practices in a fast-paced setting.

Market-Savvy and Adaptable: Deep understanding of market trends, competitor positioning, and customer preferences, with the flexibility to adjust strategies and seize new opportunities.
