PROCESS ENGINEER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

As a Process Engineer you apply expert technical knowledge and skills to design, optimize, and implement process engineering solutions within the oil and gas industry. Your role is integral in ensuring that all process engineering projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards, meeting client specifications and industry regulations. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and effective process solutions, driving the success of projects from concept to completion.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and review process design documents, including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Conduct process simulations and optimization studies using advanced software tools to enhance process efficiency and performance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineers, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Perform process hazard analysis (PHA) and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation activities.
• Prepare and present technical reports and proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in process engineering.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be available to join immediately.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• 10-12 years of experience in process engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Proven track record of successfully contributing to process engineering projects.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II).
• Experience with process safety management (PSM) and process hazard analysis (PHA).
• Familiarity with relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB).
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
