The Investment Manager is a primary point of contact for clients to access the entire suite of investment capabilities, insights and solutions offered by Deutsche Bank PB. This is achieved by working in close partnership with the Relationship Manager in the day-to-day planning and servicing for the client. The individual leverages the insight and expertise of the Deutsche Bank IPB Chief Investment Office and the global and regional investment committees to provide advice around long-term thematic investment opportunities, short-term tactical trades, and asset allocation. The Investment Manager employs a wide range of asset classes and capabilities, leveraging the knowledge from dedicated product specialists, to address clients’ needs holistically, including lending and financing, deposits, discretionary and advisory portfolio management solutions, capital markets, private markets, alternative investments, and wealth planning. Investment Manager will have accountability for total investment AUM, revenue, asset retention and contribution towards business goals.

Your key responsibilities:


  • Assist the team in idea origination and corresponding opportunities across various asset classes and product solutions by closely working with key product partners within the bank.
  • Help the team to conduct regular (quarterly, semi-annual, annual) investment and business reviews with assigned clients and relevant internal partners.
  • Aid in creating Investment proposals for clients while maintaining and updating key CIO views and focus list of ideas across asset classes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Investment Managers in monitoring the investment book, mapping portfolio positions, key portfolio thresholds and assist in overall risk management.
  • Actively get involved in Order management lifecycle on investment trades, ranging from liaising with clients, placing trades with relevant trading desks keeping in mind best execution framework and trade reporting in timely manner to internal stake holders.
  • Act within professional, legal, and ethical boundaries and guidelines, observing all internal and external compliance regulations and code of ethics and conduct; flagging and managing reputational risks and conflicts issues.

Your skills and experience:


  • Excellent Analytical abilities with attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of various asset classes and product solutions.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with focus on advanced excel skills, knowledge of VBA, Python is a plus.
  • Self-starter and ability to work with teams across different locations.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency (written and oral) in English.
  • Prior experience in assisting portfolio managers on multi-asset class portfolios for clients across traditional and alternative assets is a plus.
  • CFA, MBA degree or other advanced degree a plus.
