Join us and let’s get started.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a visionary and detail-oriented Principal Engineer - Dry Utilities to join our innovative team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this key role, you will lead the design and implementation of complex dry utility systems, focusing on electrical, telecommunications, and related infrastructure projects across the region and beyond.Spearhead the engineering design and modification of electrical and electronic systems, with a focus on dry utilities infrastructureDevelop and oversee large-scale electrical systems, including power transmission, distribution networks, and control systemsLead the planning and execution of street lighting, high mast area lighting, and EV charging station projectsManage the design of telecommunication networks, ELV systems, and ICT infrastructureConduct and review complex engineering calculations for cable sizing, voltage drop, earthing, and fault level analysisCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and efficient infrastructure solutionsProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project teamsEnsure compliance with local UAE regulations and international engineering standardsDrive innovation in sustainable and smart infrastructure solutionsOversee quality control and risk management for all dry utility projectsQualificationsMaster of Engineering degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university15 years of experience in dry utilities and infrastructure engineering, with significant exposure to international projects, particularly in the Middle East, UK, USA, Canada, and ANZ regionsProven expertise in electrical systems design, including EHV, HV, MV, and LV systemsProficiency in industry-standard software such as Dialux, AGI, Lighting Reality, Amtech, and ETAPStrong knowledge of power systems, electronic and transmission equipment, and control systemsDemonstrated experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projectsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detailStrong leadership abilities and experience mentoring junior engineersExceptional communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work collaboratively in a multicultural environmentFamiliarity with UAE engineering regulations and international standardsProven track record of driving innovation in infrastructure design and planningExperience with sustainable and smart city initiatives is highly desirableAdditional Information#LI-SF1About AECOMAECOM is the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle – from advisory, planning, design and engineering to program and construction management.
