What the role entails
The Senior Account Executive leads the hands-on delivery of PR services for a portfolio of clients, with responsibilities including:
- Develop PR Plans: Craft creative and effective PR plans aligned with client briefs and objectives.
- Client Relationship Management: Become the primary point of contact for PR advice, issue resolution, and guidance, delivering exceptional client service.
- Innovative Campaign Creation: Design and execute innovative, industry-specific PR plans and campaigns for assigned clients.
- Project Management: In consultation with Senior Manager prioritise tasks, set project timelines, and ensure standards are met with minimal guidance.
- Content Creation: Produce high-quality materials, including media releases, pitch emails, and interview briefings for various clients within your portfolio.
- Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and media contacts, including organising media entertainment where necessary.
- Client Communication: Serve as a key liaison between the team and clients, co-leading meetings and maintaining regular communication.
- Media Engagement: Arrange interviews and editorial meetings for clients’ spokespeople with key journalists, and facilitate these interactions as needed.
- Press Pitching: Pitch press releases and feature ideas to journalists and influencers across various platforms to secure media coverage.
- Influencer Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with influencers to support campaign efforts.
- Media Monitoring: Track media coverage and report results to the team and clients.
- Campaign Reporting: Prepare and evaluate key metrics for client accounts, providing detailed campaign results.
- Event Coordination: Coordinate and support client events, ensuring smooth execution.
- Client Services: Deliver high-quality, responsive, and timely client services.
- Creative Collaboration: Participate in ideation sessions, pitches, and brainstorming activities to generate fresh ideas for new and existing business.
- Continuous Learning: Engage in Qcademy and other learning opportunities to enhance skills.
- Industry Awareness: Stay informed about market trends and developments to keep Q and our clients at the cutting edge in the region.
Who you are
Ideally you will have:
- A recognised tertiary qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism.
- Ideally, 2 years of experience in a similar role within the local market and agency environment.
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in Communications, PR.
- A creative flair with the ability to develop engaging PR content.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with high-level presentation abilities.
- Capability to build and sustain strong relationships with journalists, clients, colleagues, influencers, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional client service across a diverse portfolio.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently when required.
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High levels of resilience when managing client requests and competing priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and professionalism, including punctuality, presentation, responsiveness, and reliability.
- A strong desire to continuously learn and develop professionally, and a commitment to staying updated with industry trends and developments.
