Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated PMC Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Basra, Iraq, for a high-profile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project. The Senior Project Engineer will oversee and coordinate engineering activities, ensuring that all project deliverables meet specifications, timelines, and quality standards. This role demands strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering excellence in a challenging project environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering activities for the project.
• Review and ensure the accuracy of design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Act as the primary interface between the engineering team, contractors, and project management to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address delays or issues.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support the resolution of technical queries (TQ) and manage design changes as necessary.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor engineering execution and ensure compliance with designs and quality standards.
• Prepare and present progress reports, including updates on project milestones and technical challenges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering deliverables across all project phases.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical growth and promoting best practices.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or a related discipline).
• Experience:
  • 10-12 years of experience in engineering roles, with a focus on Oil & Gas or pipeline construction projects.
  • Proven experience in a PMC environment and working in Iraq or similar regions is highly desirable.
• Skills:
  • Strong technical expertise in engineering principles, project execution, and design coordination.
  • Proficiency in engineering design tools and software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and manage multiple priorities.
