Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated PMC Pipeline Engineer to support pipeline engineering activities for a major Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Abu Dhabi. The Pipeline Engineer will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and ensuring the quality of pipeline designs, drawings, and documentation. This role requires technical expertise and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient and compliant engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review pipeline designs, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications in compliance with project requirements and international standards.
- Support pipeline design activities, including material selection, route optimization, and stress analysis.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of pipeline designs into overall project plans.
- Assist in resolving technical queries (TQ) and ensure approved changes are incorporated into pipeline designs.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify construction activities align with pipeline designs and specifications.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
- Assist in the preparation of pipeline engineering reports, documentation, and progress updates for stakeholders.
- Ensure all pipeline engineering activities comply with HSE standards and best practices.
- Stay updated on advancements in pipeline engineering technologies and apply them to project activities where applicable.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Pipeline Engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- 7-10 years of experience in pipeline engineering, with a focus on Oil & Gas or pipeline construction projects.
- Experience in a PMC environment is preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in pipeline design software (e.g., CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, AutoCAD).
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards related to pipeline design and construction (e.g., ASME, API, BS).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a dynamic project environment.
