Job Description
Project Management and Supervision:
- Supervise and coordinate plumbing installations, maintenance, and repair work on assigned projects.
- Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and oversee daily activities to ensure timely project completion.
- Inspect work sites regularly to ensure compliance with safety standards, quality standards, and local plumbing codes
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of plumbers, apprentices, and assistants.
- Provide guidance on complex plumbing tasks, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
- Ensure team members adhere to safety protocols and maintain a productive work environment.
Quality Control:
- Conduct quality checks on completed plumbing work to ensure it meets company standards and complies with local building codes.
- Identify and resolve issues in workmanship, materials, or methods that may affect project quality.
Safety and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols in line with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Ensure all plumbing work complies with relevant codes, including building, health, and safety regulations.
Resource Management:
- Order and manage materials, tools, and equipment for plumbing activities, optimising resource usage and reducing waste.
- Track inventory and ensure that all materials and equipment are used efficiently.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, labour hours, and any incidents.
- Prepare regular reports on project status, team performance, and any challenges encountered.
Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate with other trade supervisors and contractors to avoid worksite conflicts and ensure a smooth workflow.
- Communicate effectively with the Project Manager, updating on project progress and any issues requiring attention.
Requirements- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in plumbing is preferred.
- Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Certifications:Valid plumbing license; additional certifications in safety and project management are advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, team-building, and problem-solving skills.
