Engineering, Project ManagementPlanning Engineer, Elevator Industry – Dubai, UAERole Summary:The New Installation Planning Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of elevator installation projects. This position involves creating and managing detailed project plans, coordinating resources, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will act as the key liaison between internal teams, clients, and contractors, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of excellence.Location: Dubai, UAE Business Industry: Elevator, Escalator & Moving WalkwaysPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:• Prepare project schedule and work with project management team to ensure understanding of total project schedule needs. • Evaluate and report schedule variances and delays to the project management team and identify the corrective action plans and new revised schedules. • Identify delays and prepare the required delay analysis to support Extension of Time claims with cost. • Assign resources to projects and track the time throughout the project duration. • Drive field issues related to scheduling and prioritizing. • Review, report and update system timely and accurately. • Drive the process of milestone completion to ensure established KPIs are achieved and reported accurately in the system. • Plan and maintain employee leave plan to ensure sufficient resources availability • Drive the schedule for training and ensure timely completion for all department employees • Prepare weekly and monthly reports, forecasts, schedules and presentations based on operations team needs • Collaborate with project management team and update system module related to collections • Planning and controlling the schedule using Primavera. • Organize data and analyze the information for current and future projects. • Record any delays by contractors or clients and prepare an extension of time claim with cost.Skills and Qualifications:Education/Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil preferred) or a related field. • 5 years of experience in planning, coordination, and project management within the elevator or construction industry. • Previous Elevator background is a major advantage.Knowledge/Skills:• Strong multitasking abilities. • Planning and project management skills. • Strong analytical, critical, and logical thinking skills. • A sound understanding of safety protocols. • Project time and cost tracking and analysis. • The ability to manage time and cost data for each project and analyze compared to established budget. • Organization skills; the ability to understand and assist in the planning of tasks for new projects. • Managing data, information, reporting and analysis. • Communication skills: communicating clearly, effectively, and regularly with team members, client representatives, etc. • Interpersonal skills; the ability to develop a good working relationship with each team member. • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). • Proficiency MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) • Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written skills.
