Job Description
Data Centre - Planning Engineer
Must have between 3-5 years experience on live data centre projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and monitor detailed project schedules for data centre projects at various stages of the project life cycle, from pre-construction to commissioning.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to define scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Utilize advanced planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) to create, track, and update project schedules.
- Identify potential project delays, risks, and bottlenecks, and propose mitigation plans.
- Monitor project performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and suggest improvements where necessary.
- Manage the project’s critical path and adjust schedules to reflect any changes in scope or unforeseen issues.
- Contribute to risk management processes by identifying potential schedule impacts and proposing corrective actions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mech, Elec preferred Civil acceptable), Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in planning and scheduling, preferably within the data centre, construction, or engineering sectors.
- Proven experience managing planning processes for large-scale data centre projects.
- Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of project life cycle, cost management, risk analysis, and quality control.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing project needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with both local and international teams.
- Fluency in English (additional language skills are a plus).
