Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, ensuring that all activities are planned and executed in line with the project requirements.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Ensure the optimal allocation of resources (labour, equipment, materials) to meet project deadlines.
  • Monitor the cost and financial performance of the project, ensuring it stays within budget.
  • Prepare forecasts for project completion and advise on cost control measures.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of contractors and subcontractors in terms of schedule adherence and productivity.
  • Attend project meetings and provide updates on scheduling status, progress, and challenges.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, contractual obligations, and project specifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including schedules, progress reports, and meeting minutes.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects and handling complex scheduling tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, project management principles, and industry standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with construction methods, project lifecycle, and industry best practices.
