Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Planning/Cost Engineer to join our team in Al Ain. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing project planning, cost estimation, and control for large-scale construction and engineering projects.


  • Develop and maintain project schedules using advanced project management software
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects at various stages of development
  • Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect actual performance
  • Analyze project costs and variances, providing regular reports to management
  • Identify and assess project risks, developing mitigation strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with project teams to optimize resource allocation and improve efficiency
  • Perform earned value analysis and forecast project performance
  • Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure alignment between plans and actual progress
  • Develop and maintain cost databases and historical records for future reference

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in planning and cost engineering, preferably in construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with cost estimation software
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software
  • Experience with risk analysis tools and techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or CCP are preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and project lifecycle management
  • Expertise in cost control, budgeting, schedule development, and risk assessment
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required
  • Familiarity with local construction practices and regulations in the UAE is a plus
