About the job PIPING DESIGNER

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Piping Designer with 8-15 years of expertise to join our team for the Engineering Phase of an onshore oil and gas project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be proficient in piping layout design, isometric generation, and 3D modeling, with a focus on delivering high-quality engineering solutions.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop piping layouts, isometric drawings, and 3D models for onshore oil and gas facilities, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
  • Generate and review piping deliverables such as General Arrangement (GA) drawings, piping plans, and material take-offs (MTOs).
  • Collaborate with piping engineers and other disciplines to ensure proper integration of piping systems with structural, civil, and mechanical designs.
  • Perform clash detection and resolve design conflicts using 3D modeling tools.
  • Review vendor drawings and coordinate with suppliers to ensure compatibility with project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API) and client-specific requirements (e.g., ADNOC standards).
  • Participate in model reviews, design reviews, and client meetings to address technical issues and ensure project alignment.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced team members as required.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 8-15 years of experience as a Piping Designer, with a focus on onshore oil and gas projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in 3D modeling tools such as SmartPlant 3D, PDMS, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or E3D.
  • Strong understanding of piping systems, materials, and specifications for oil and gas applications.
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Hands-on experience in FEED and detailed engineering phases of oil and gas projects.
  • Familiarity with international standards like ASME B31.3 and client-specific standards such as ADNOC specifications.
  • Must be ready to join immediately and work in Abu Dhabi.
