PIPELINE DESIGNER

We are looking for an experienced Pipeline Designer to support the detailed engineering phase of a major onshore oil and gas project. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in pipeline design, drafting, and modeling, ensuring alignment with industry standards and project requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare detailed pipeline design deliverables, including alignment sheets, route drawings, isometrics, and construction drawings.
• Develop and update 3D models for pipeline systems using software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or SmartPlant 3D.
• Ensure pipeline routing and layouts are optimized for safety, efficiency, and constructability.
• Incorporate relevant pipeline codes, standards (e.g., ASME, API), and client specifications into designs.
• Assist in conducting pipeline stress analysis, material selection, and wall thickness calculations.
• Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated and clash-free designs.
• Review vendor drawings and technical specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Provide technical support during project phases, including procurement, fabrication, and construction.
• Maintain and organize design documentation for traceability and project audits.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience as a Pipeline Designer for large-scale onshore oil and gas projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, SmartPlant 3D, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of pipeline design standards (e.g., ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, API 1104).
• Familiarity with pipeline routing, alignment sheets, and topographical integration.
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams on complex engineering projects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines.
