Job Overview


AtkinsRéalis is currently looking for highly experienced Security Engineer with proven track record of working in critical government infrastructure projects preferably in transportation projects.  Working under a Project Management Consultant (PMC) setup to oversee the works of the Design & Build (D&B) contractors will be a clear plus. The role will involve several risk identification exercise and mitigation activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major metro rail project, ensuring the effective management of the assets. Roles and Responsibilities


  • Lead the development and implementation of physical security strategies and plans for the metro rail project.
  • Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for the project sites.
  • Oversee the design and installation of security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure security measures are integrated into the project design and construction phases.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard project assets and personnel.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency response teams to ensure effective security measures are in place.
  • Conduct regular security audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Provide training and guidance to project staff on security best practices and emergency response procedures.
  • Prepare and present security reports and updates to project stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations and standards.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in security management, Engineering, or a related field.

Knowledge and Experience


  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in physical security engineering, preferably in rail /metro or strategic government assets projects.
  • Proven experience in managing security for large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of security systems, technologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • UAE or GCC project experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to join quickly is preferred.
