Job Description

Duties and responsibilities shall include:

  • Evaluate and manage complex pediatric cases requiring specialized intervention and Pediatric pulmonary care, including bronchoscopy
  • Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnosis and treatment.
  • Collaborate with other pediatricians, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct medication reviews to identify and mitigate potential drug-related issues.
  • Serve as a collaborative physician for an advanced practice registered nurse.
  • Lead and participate in clinical research projects focused on pediatric Pulmonology.
  • Develop and update protocols for pediatric drug trials and medication safety.
  • Stay updated on advancements in pediatric pulmonology and incorporate evidence-based practices.
  • Train and mentor medical staff, including pediatricians and Pulmonologist on pediatric Pulmonological practices.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including pediatric subspecialists, nursing staff, and clinical pharmacists, to optimize patient outcomes.

Minimum Requirements

  • Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) with specialized training in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Pulmonology. 
  • Experience with clinical care of patients ages birth.
  • Experience with education of medical staff, students and others.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-Board Certification experience.
  • MOH license or eligibility to obtain one.

Certification:

  • Approved certifications include:
  • UK/Ireland: CCT/CCST
  • USA/Canada: ABMS/RCPSC
  • Australia/New Zealand: Fellowship of the Royal Colleges
  • Certificate of Specialization from countries such as France, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Denmark.
