Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat pediatric patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries in the emergency department
- Perform necessary diagnostic tests, ordering imaging studies, and interpreting results to determine appropriate treatment
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to create and implement individualized patient care plans
- Ensure the safety and comfort of pediatric patients and their families during emergency care
- Participate in the training and education of medical staff and residents in pediatric emergency care
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the emergency department
- Stay informed of advancements in pediatric emergency medicine and adhere to the latest clinical guidelines
- Engage in patient and family education regarding health conditions and preventive care measures
