Job Description

Overview 


This is a key role responsible for overseeing the management and optimization of new and existing contracts of payment gateways for Interactivity and Competitions. The candidate shall play a critical role in negotiating, establishing and constantly exploring new digital and even cash payment channels to ensure availability of the products globally through smooth and secure transactions, driving new revenue streams and optimization of the existing ones, while enhancing the overall customer experience through efficient payment processes.


Key responsibilities and accountabilities


  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the strategic vision and roadmap for payment gateway operations, aligning with departmental goals and industry best practices.
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with payment gateway providers and vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management: Ensure implementation of robust risk management protocols and fraud prevention measures to safeguard against payment-related risks, safeguarding compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to payment gateway operations, providing regular reports and insights to senior management to inform decision making.
  • Integration and Expansion: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and finance, to integrate new payment methods, expand into new markets, and support business growth initiatives.
  • Customer Experience Enhancement: lead initiatives to enhance the payment experience for customers, ensuring seamless transactions, personalized payment options, and timely resolution of payment-related inquiries and issues.
  • Compliance and Security: Stay up to date about evolving regulations and compliance requirements related to payment processing, implementing and maintaining robust security protocols and controls to protect sensitive payment data.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the payment gateway team, fostering innovation, efficiency gains, and operational excellence through process optimization and technology advancements.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in payment gateway operations, with a proven track record of leadership and success in managing payment processing systems and teams.
  • Strong understanding of payment industry trends (including Telecom payment gateways), technologies, and regulatory landscape, with knowledge of payment protocols, networks, and security standards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of driving innovation, problem-solving, and process improvement initiatives to achieve business objectives.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team building, talent development, and performance management, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent within the organization.
