Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
• Complete the assigned task within the set time frame and man-hours targets without causing injury to personnel or damage to property / environment.
• Follow safe operating procedure and instruction given by Foreman / Supervision.
• Ensure safe loading / unloading materials from trailer-truck to jetty, jetty to trailer-truck
• If travelling route is not safe, take other route.
• To verify load capacity and centre gravity before lifting
• To verify load lashing and securing loads before operation.
• Maintain the cleanliness and housekeeping of the equipment.
• Follow speed limit with or without load
• If view not visible then go for reverse or ask spot man.
• Do not use fork to slide materials.
• Use two forks instead one fork when lifting
• Before movements check all side.
• Identify loads for the right equipment’s.
• Routine (Checklist) and inspection of Equipment prior to start working.
• Report damage / unsafe condition to Supervisor.
• Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work Safety, Quality & Environment
Experience / Qualification & Skills:
• Able to drive light and heavy Forklifts.
• Able to identify breakdowns / troubleshoot will be an added advantage.
• Secondary school
• UAE License 07 (for Light forklift) or UAE License 08 (for Heavy forklift)
• Internal Yard Permit (Special)
• 01-year experience on light / heavy forklifts and side loaders.
